Clear impregnating oil for interior softwood
MELDOS is an impregnating oil for solid interior softwoods such as cedar, pine and fir. It penetrates deeply, reinforces the appearance of the grain and is especially useful for projects such as saunas and softwood furniture.

Good to know: In areas exposed to water splashes or high humidity, the existing guidance advises against adding a wax treatment over MELDOS.

What wood species is MELDOS designed for?
It is intended for solid interior coniferous woods such as cedar, pine and fir.
Can MELDOS be used in a sauna?
Yes. Saunas are one of the uses listed in the current product guidance.
Can I use MELDOS on plywood or kitchen cabinetry?
No. The existing product guidance says it is not suitable for plywood, cabinet interiors or kitchen cabinetry.
Does MELDOS add colour?
It is clear, but like most penetrating oils it can deepen the natural colour and grain of the wood.

Colours, seals and protects in one product. The oil soaks into the fibre instead of covering it, so the wood keeps its texture and stays repairable.
Floors, stairs, furniture, panelling and countertops, including kitchens and bathrooms.
Sand to 120 grit and vacuum. Roll on a thin first coat, wipe off anything not absorbed after 30 minutes, leave 12 hours, then apply the second coat.
Linseed oil, wood oil, natural resins and plant based drying agents. No biocides, no film formers, no petrochemical binders.
